About Carolynn

Carolynn was born and raised in a small town in Tennessee, which explains her pleasure in writing the Barbourville series, books that are set in a fictional Tennessee mountain town. Many of the books in this series have either finaled or won in various contests judged by readers. Most recently, At Home in Barbourville was named an Award of Merit winner in the 2015 HOLT Medallion contest.
She also enjoys writing about the Regency period in England. Her first Regency, Compromising Situations, won the National Readers’ Choice Award in 2007. When publishing rights reverted to Carolynn in 2014, she published a slightly revised version, which remained on Amazon’s Hot New Regency list for a month and was in the top 100 historical romance novels on Amazon for weeks. More recently, she published A Simple Lady, which also ranked in the top 100 in the Regency category on Amazon for weeks and which won a 2016 Maggie Award of Excellence.
In addition, she writes stand-alone contemporary novels and novellas, including Holly Grove Homecoming, Lily for a Day, Prognosis for Happiness, and My Cupcake, My Love, which won a HOLT Medallion in the novella category in 2014.
